Eight-Run Inning Powers Duke to Third Straight Super Regional

DURHAM – An eight-run seventh inning propelled 10th-seeded Duke to its third straight NCAA Super Regional after defeating South Carolina, 10-1, on Sunday at Duke Softball Stadium.

With the win, the Blue Devils improve their overall ledger to 50-6 and set a program record for wins in a single season. Additionally, Duke concluded its home slate with a 29-3 mark for its most home victories in program history.

Senior Claire Davidson paced the Blue Devil offense, batting 3-for-5 on the day with one run. Freshman Amiah Burgess, sophomore D'Auna Jennings and graduate student Gisele Tapia each added two hits each.
