MORAGA, Calif. – A two-goal, two-assist opening weekend has earned Riley Lynch the Saint Mary's Student-Athlete of the Week Award for August 28.
Lynch opened the season with a bang on Friday night, scoring the first two goals of the season for the Gaels, and assisting on the fourth goal of the night on a cross to Jude Zamora. It was the first brace of Lynch's career and first five-point game.
On Lynch's first goal he fired a shot towards the right post and it caromed off the woodwork into the net for the Gaels first goal of the season and a 1-0 lead.
